Dear AMISA (formerly AASSA) Friends and Colleagues,
Please allow me to begin this brief note, by inviting you to enjoy our latest AMISA Radio Podcast episode in loving memory of Silvia Tolisao. In the episode, Silvia interviews our Mindshift Series speaker, Jaime Casap.
In Silvia’s memory and honor, we are continuing to advance our communication efforts to provide dynamic, timely, relevant, and engaging communications to our association and internationally focused educational community. We are moving from a PDF version Newsletter to a more interactive and dynamic format by providing increased blog posts for sharing of individual articles and notable accomplishments as well as periodic compilation blogs to provide easy access to timely summaries and ongoing information. Read our recent blog post to learn more about what to expect!
Our Services
In collaboration with AAIE and the Tri-Association we continue to host weekly conversations for our Heads of School and senior leaders. In addition, our Networking feature on our new website has provided a new space for faculty and staff in all our member schools to have the opportunity to collaborate and share resources. Our office continues to work with schools to adjust and adapt to the impacts of the pandemic on many aspects of purchasing, shipping and payment processing.
Our recruiting database was improved to be mobile friendly, and we added a chat room feature so that our database can be a “one stop shop” for finding and engaging with potential new hires.
Join us in Brazil! Our IN-PERSON Educators' Conference is March 24-26, 2022.
Students Take Stance Against Global Issue
A group of students at the Atlanta International School are taking action to raise awareness about human trafficking during their sixth annual #MyFreedomDay campaign, on March 16th, 2022.
According to the CNN Freedom Project, #MyFreedomDay 2021 was a tremendous success despite the global pandemic, making nearly 2 billion impressions on social media and involving students and young people from 140 countries.
Atlanta International School students are asking you to join them in the fight against human trafficking. If you’re interested in participating, please complete the #MyFreedomDay 2022 Participation Form.
As always, I leave you with one to think on…
One to think on…
