Series Overview
Facing a new school year can seem overwhelming, especially given the uncertainty that many of us encounter this year. Over the summer, WIDA worked with a Community of Practice to explore how international schools have responded to the emerging learnscape by transforming their classrooms to support multilingual learners. We know very little about the long-term effect of distance learning, but what we do know is that virtual learning presents both benefits and challenges for our MLLs. This series of webinars will build on the work of the WIDA global community and also incorporate the WIDA Guiding Principles of Language Development (2019) which provide research-based guidance on what multilingual learners can do.
