Asociación Escuelas Lincoln’s TED-Ed Club Members to Speak at Event at TED Headquarters in New York City

Buenos Aires, Argentina—On Saturday, December 3, senior Petrina Nomikou, alumnus Gabriela Shimako, alumnus Analia Wu, and former English Teacher, Josefino Rivera, from Asociación Escuelas Lincoln will travel to New York City to speak at TED-Ed Weekends, a twice-annual special gathering of students who participate in TED-Ed Clubs.

TED-Ed Clubs are independently organized middle and high school clubs that follow a thirteen-week public speaking curriculum prepared by TED to help them write, rehearse and deliver a TED Talk.

During the one-day event at TED’s New York headquarters, participants will share inspiring performances, participate in hands-on workshops, and deliver their own riveting TED Talks. Student speakers at the event were selected for the stage after submitting videos of their talks to the TED-Ed team. They will deliver talks in a newly created theater housed at TED’s New York headquarters, in front of an audience that includes TED team members, adult Club Leaders, Club Advisors, and other chaperones.

To learn more about the TED-Ed Clubs program or to create your own club, visit TED-Ed Clubs. TED is the non-profit dedicated to ideas worth spreading, usually in the form of short, powerful talks available for free online.
